The Thinking Spot
The Thinking Spot
One of my favorite “right place, right moment” captures from a bike ride in Fort Worth, TX in 2016 is of Airfield Falls, a hidden “sometimes” waterfall tucked away in the city. For 23 years, while living there, I would often embark on a 40-mile ride just to reach this spot. The falls weren’t always flowing, but when they were, I’d stop to cool off in the cool, rushing water. It was more than just a break—it was a moment to sit quietly, letting the rush of the falls drown out the noise, and to contemplate life. That simple ritual grounded me like nothing else during those long rides which is why I named my Thinking Spot.
I do a small version of this on metal. Message me at info@littlevillagebigmountain.com to see it. The fall colors really pop on the metal print.
